I have over 20 years
of construction experience. The most unpleasant aspect of construction
is the handling of disputes. This aspect of construction was previously
an extremely tedious, expensive, and confusing process. There are now
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods available.
Mediation is a process to resolve matters by mutual agreement.
Arbitration uses the decision of a mutually-agreed-upon neutral person
whose decision is final and binding. It is of utmost importance that
this arbitrator be knowledgeable in the field of dispute, not just an
attorney or retired judge. The courts, large corporations, and nearly
every agency involved with litigation now recommend, and in many cases
mandate, the use of arbitration.
I am a certified arbitrator. As such I can resolve construction and
other issues, usually in one day, and allow the constructive process to
continue for a very cost-effective fee, typically $300-$1800. |
